The Eibsee Autumn Run is a traditional running competition that has been held annually on the last Sunday in October since 1981. The course covers 12.2 km from Grainau to the higher-altitude Eibsee, with participants overcoming an elevation difference of about 240 meters. The picturesque scenery, with the Zugspitze North Face in the background, makes the run particularly appealing.
Originally initiated by Wolfgang Plümpe and organized by him until 2021, the run has been conducted by the ski division of the "Eibsee" Grainau sports club since 2022.
