Edmonton Wild Rose Women's Indoor Triathlon
The Edmonton Wild Rose Women's Indoor Triathlon is scheduled at Coronation Park Sports & Recreation Centre in Edmonton on February 14, 2027. The event is organized for participants of all levels and is divided into timed heats.
Each athlete completes three consecutive segments: 10 minutes of swimming (any stroke), 20 minutes on a stationary bike led by a spin instructor, and 15 minutes of walking or running on the track. Heat assignments are based on swim pace and are issued about one week before the event. Participants are asked to arrive about 30 minutes before their heat.
Swimmers are placed four per lane and swim counter-clockwise. Passing is done by tapping toes and stopping at the end of the lane to allow a pass. Lifeguards and volunteers are present in the pool area, and spectators may watch from the stands.
Transitions are timed: there is a 15-minute period to change and reach the spin room, and a 5-minute period to move from the bike to the track. The run marshal will announce a final lap at 13 minutes. After the event participants receive an official race bib, a commemorative finisher item, a finisher bracelet, a group photo, a Jugo Juice smoothie, post-race massage, and a snack.
Spectator access is limited: the swim area is the main viewing spot; the spin room does not allow spectators, and there is no spectator space on the track. Recommended items include a swimsuit or trisuit, goggles, the provided swim cap, a mandatory towel, running shoes, a water bottle, a lock for a locker, any necessary medications, and a change of clothes.
There are no refunds. Registrations may be rolled over to the Wild Rose Women's Winter Indoor Triathlon 2028 for a fee of CA$30 if done before November 1; after November 1 rollovers are not permitted but entries may be transferred to another racer for a fee of CA$15 up to the day before the event.
