BeHeard Movement's 5K Dignity Dash & Thanksgiving Drive
BeHeard Movement presents a community 5K and Thanksgiving drive on November 14, 2026, at Lions Playground at Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City. The event is described as family friendly and combines a run/walk with a donation drive to support neighbors experiencing homelessness across Oklahoma.
Registration information from the organizer lists a fee of $40, which includes entry to the 5K, a commemorative finisher medal, cooling stations along the course, and support for BeHeard Movement's outreach efforts. Registration opens July 31, 2026, and closes September 11, 2026.
BeHeard Movement operates a mobile drop-in center that provides free showers, laundry services, clothing, hygiene supplies, resources, and case management to individuals experiencing homelessness. Donations collected during the Thanksgiving drive will be distributed during those outreach services. Requested items include hygiene products, bottled water, new underwear and socks, jackets and hoodies, blankets, sweatshirts and sweatpants, and individually packaged non-perishable snacks such as chips, crackers, granola bars, and variety snack packs.
The event description emphasizes community support and the continuation of outreach services through the combination of the 5K and the Thanksgiving drive. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
