Eddie’s Revenge is a category A/S fell race held on Wednesday 24 June 2026, with the event venue at St Saviours Church, Buckstones Road, Shaw, Oldham OL2 8NB. The start is located nearby at Shore Edge Methodist Church. Distances and climb are reported as follows:

Course and safety

The route runs across moorland and forest trails with rough moorland paths. Sections are generally well drained by old mine workings but can be muddy in poor weather. The course includes numerous ascents and descents and a steep shale-covered descent toward the end of the first lap. The route crosses exposed open moorland and is partially marked; some navigational experience may be required. The race is held under Fell Running Association rules. Competitors must be prepared to carry required kit, which may include full body cover, waterproof cagoule with hood, waterproof overtrousers, hat, gloves, map, compass and whistle. Use of GPS is not allowed. Spot kit checks may be carried out.

Entries, awards and records

Entry is by pre-entry only; fees are listed as £7 (FRA members) and £8 (non-members). Minimum age is 16, with under-18s accepted only with signed parental consent. Teams are permitted (men 4, women 3). Prizes include 1st–3rd male and female, age-category awards and team awards. The race supports fundraising for Deafblind UK and OMRT.
