Eddie's Revenge Fell Race
Eddie's Revenge is a category A/S fell race that begins at Shore Methodist church, climbs to the Trig Point on Crompton Moor, and then descends toward the quarries near Buckstones Road. The distance is reported as approximately 5.8 km to 6.1 km with a total ascent reported as about 308 m to 323 m.
The route includes moorland trail, forest trail and rough moorland paths. Old mine workings provide generally good drainage, but some sections can become muddy in inclement weather. The course loops through forest and moorland with numerous ascents and descents and finishes the first lap with a steep shale covered descent.
Event details list an age minimum of 16 years. Entries opened on Tuesday 14 October 2025 and close on Monday 22 June 2026. Entry fees are shown as FRA Member £7.00 and Non Member £8.00. The event is organised by Middleton Harriers and entries are administered through SiEntries.
