Course and entry details
The route climbs to the Trig Point on Crompton Moor and then descends to the quarries near Buckstones Road. The surface is a mixture of moorland trail, forest trail and rough moorland paths. Old mine workings generally help drainage, but there are some muddy sections in inclement weather. The course includes numerous ascents and descents and a steep shale-covered descent towards the end of the first lap.
