The 26th Annual Ed McGuire Memorial Cannonball Run
The event is a community road race held in Falls Village, Connecticut on November 7, 2026, hosted in the downtown area near 108 Main Street. The program includes a certified-track effort for the main course; the 5K course is in the process of USATF certification. The race begins with the traditional firing of a cannon. Restrooms and parking are available in the downtown area.
The event offers both running and walking options:
- 5K (3.1 miles) road race
- 2.5 mile walking course for walkers and participants with disabilities
Registration is available in advance. The entry fee is $25 and registration runs from July 30, 2026 to November 5, 2026. Registrations submitted by October 10, 2026 include a souvenir shirt. An awards ceremony on the town green will follow completion of the race, with awards across age groups. Proceeds from the event benefit the Falls Village Volunteer Fire Department.
