Ed Dupree 5K - Salisbury, NC
The Ed Dupree 5K is a community run held at East Rowan High School Stadium in Salisbury, North Carolina on May 16, 2026. The event includes a 5K (3.1 miles) and a children’s Fun Run of 0.5 miles for ages 10 and under.
All proceeds benefit Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Foundation and the Ed Dupree Memorial Scholarship at East Rowan High School. The scholarship is awarded annually to one male and one female senior student athlete, with a one-time award of $2,000.
Event entries include high-quality T-shirts for runners and walkers. Timing and scoring are provided by Salisbury Rowan Runners. Awards for the 5K include top overall male and female, top overall masters male and female, and top three male and female finishers in standard age groups from 10 & under through 70 and over. The Fun Run awards trophies to the top three finishers and medals to all participants.
Published registration fees list a standard fee and an on-site fee for the 5K; a separate fee is listed for the Fun Run. On-site T-shirt pick up and registration are arranged at the stadium on race day. The event takes place on the East Rowan High School campus at 175 St. Luke’s Church Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146.
