ECDC 5K Run for Refugees
The ECDC 5K Run for Refugees is an annual community running event organized by ECDC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Arlington, Virginia. The event takes place at 329 N. Manchester Street in Arlington and includes a short fun run for children.
The course uses paved park trails, includes one hill, and has no road crossings. The route is described as suitable for walkers and for wheelchair use. Parking is available near the venue; directions note that attendees coming from Route 50 should turn north to the end of Manchester Street and then turn right into free parking. If on-site parking is full, Bluemont Park North Shelter or Ashlawn School are listed as alternate parking options.
Registration follows tiered fees by date: early bird, regular, and late registration levels are specified. The main race has a registration fee schedule, and the kids event is free. After the run there is a post-race social in the picnic shelter about 100 meters from the start and finish, located next to the restrooms. The picnic shelter area will host refreshments and entertainment for participants and community members.
