About the Under Armour Eastside 10K
Established in 2013, the Under Armour Eastside 10K is a running event through the historic east side of Vancouver. The course features a heritage and industrial atmosphere, taking participants through Gastown, the Downtown Eastside, Strathcona, and East Vancouver. This route allows runners to access sections of the city that are typically open to vehicle traffic.
The event offers the following distances:
- 10 km in-person race.
- Virtual race option available from September 1 to September 30.
Participants receive a souvenir Under Armour shirt and a finisher's medal. The event supports various local charity partners, including the Urban Native Youth Association, the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre, and KidSport BC.
Race day logistics include a bag check service and a dedicated post-race area. The event is sanctioned by BC Athletics and AC Road, with specific categories and awards for elite runners and accommodations for adaptive athletes.
