Eastbourne Triathlon
The Eastbourne Triathlon is a programme of swim, bike and run races held on the South Downs coast in Eastbourne. Races use coastal swim locations near Eastbourne Pier, cycle on fully closed roads including Beachy Head Road, and run along the seaside promenade.
Events are offered across multiple formats and age groups. Distances and formats include:
- Middle Distance Triathlon: Swim 1.9 km, Bike 90 km, Run 21.1 km
- Standard Distance Triathlon: Swim 1500 m, Bike 40 km, Run 10 km
- Sprint Triathlon: Swim 750 m, Bike 20 km, Run 5 km
- Novice Super-Sprint: Swim 300 m, Bike 10 km, Run 2.5 km
- Scootathlon and TriStar youth races: short, age-based swim and run distances
The event weekend for 2026 is listed for Saturday 11th July and Sunday 12th July, with additional race types such as aquathlons, aquabikes, duathlons and team relays. A Race Pass is required for non-members of the BTF at an additional cost of £8 (£2 for under 25s). Refund protection is available as an optional purchase at 8.5% of the entry cost and covers specified illness, injury and travel issues.
