Eastbourne Triathlon
The Eastbourne Triathlon is a multi-distance swim, bike and run event held on Sunday 11 July 2027 on the South Downs coast. Races include formats for adults, youth and children, plus relay and single-discipline options. The Sprint and Standard distance triathlons take place on fully closed roads. The course features a sea swim by Eastbourne's historic pier, a bike route that uses Beachy Head Road, and a run along the seaside promenade.
Distances and example race formats include:
- Standard Distance: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
- Sprint: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
- Novice Super-Sprint: 300m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run
- TriBourne 100: 2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run
- Sprint Relay: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
- TriStart and TriStar aquathlons for children with short swim and run legs
- Swim only options: 1500m and 2km swims
- Aquabike and duathlon distances for specific race categories
The event uses tiered early-bird pricing with limited places in each tier; a booking protection option is available for 8.5% of the entry fee that can provide a refund under specified circumstances. Non-members of the British Triathlon Federation require a Race Pass at an additional cost of £8 (£2 for under 25s).
