San Diego Santa Run
The San Diego Santa Run takes place in Pacific Beach on December 12, 2026. The event includes a chip timed 5K, a Kids 1 Mile for ages 12 and under, and a Dog 1 Mile wave for leashed pets. The start and finish are located at 912 Garnet Avenue in front of the Bank of America.
Event distances:
- 5K: Sunny Santa suit, chip timing, custom bib, complimentary drink ticket
- Kids 1 Mile: chip timed result, finisher medal, Santa hat and sunglasses
- Dog 1 Mile: limited to 125 entries, Santa Run T-shirt, hat and sunglasses
5K registrants receive a Sunny Santa suit (available in two sizes), sunglasses, chip timing, a custom bib, and a complimentary drink ticket redeemable at partner locations after the event. The Kids 1 Mile is chip timed and includes a finisher medal. Dogs are not permitted in the 5K for safety reasons; the Dog 1 Mile provides a dedicated wave for participants with pets.
Packet pick-up is available at scheduled locations and a mail option is offered for a fee. Strollers are welcome in all waves. The event benefits the Pacific Beach Holiday Parade and lists local partner bars for the post-race drink ticket redemption. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
