About the race
The San Diego Santa Run is the 14th annual holiday running event in Pacific Beach, San Diego on December 12, 2026. The start and finish are located at 912 Garnet Avenue in front of the Bank of America. The event offers multiple sub-events for different participants.

- Kids 1 Mile
- Dog 1 Mile (limited to 125 spots)
5K participants receive a Sunny Santa Suit, Santa Run sunglasses, chip timing, a custom bib, and a complimentary drink ticket. Sunny Santa Suits are available in two sizes labeled Small and Standard. Kids 1 Mile participants receive a Santa hat, Santa Run t-shirt, sunglasses, chip timed results, and a finisher medal. The Dog 1 Mile includes a bib, t-shirt, hat, and sunglasses but does not have chip timing; dogs are not allowed in the 5K.
Packet pick up is available at Road Runner Sports and at a Pacific Beach parking lot, and there is a paid mail option for packets. A complimentary drink ticket attached to the bib is redeemable at participating partner bars for guests age 21 and over with ID. The event supports the Pacific Beach Holiday Parade. On event day there will be road and no parking restrictions on Garnet Avenue and nearby streets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
