Event Overview

The San Diego Santa Run is a festive 5K run and 1-mile event taking place on Saturday, December 12, 2026, in Pacific Beach. The event features multiple waves: a 5K with two separate start times, a Kids 1 Mile run for participants 12 and under, and a Dog 1 Mile run. All 5K participants receive a Sunny Santa suit, sunglasses, chip timing, a custom bib, and a complimentary drink ticket.

Distances

The event offers three main distances:

5K run
Kids 1 Mile run (for ages 12 & under)
Dog 1 Mile run (limited to 125 spots)

Event Details

The start and finish line for all events is located at 912 Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach. Age group awards are only given to participants in the 5K – 8 AM wave. The event is chip-timed for the 5K and Kids 1 Mile.

Participants can pick up their race packets at scheduled times before the event at Road Runner Sports or a Pacific Beach location, or pay a fee to have it mailed. A fee applies for race morning packet pickup.

Post-Race and Additional Information

After the run, 5K participants (21+) can redeem their complimentary drink ticket at one of several partner bars on Garnet Avenue, including Mavericks Beach Club and 710 Beach Club. Walkers and strollers are welcome in all waves.
