East Newton Lion's Club 5k Run/Walk
The East Newton Lion's Club presents the 42nd Annual Granby 5k on July 4, 2026 in Granby, Missouri. The event takes place at the Granby Fire Station on North Main Street and uses a USATF certified course that is new for 2026. Two event formats are offered for the same distance.

Registration carries a fee of $30. Registration opens April 29 and closes July 3. Entrants who register by June 20 are guaranteed a T-shirt. All registered participants are offered a free pancake breakfast. Packet pickup takes place in front of the fire station, and public restrooms are available inside the building.
Age divisions are specified separately for runners and walkers. Runner divisions for males and females include these age groups: 1-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Walker divisions for men and women use age groups 1-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
Awards include trophies for best overall male and female runners, first through third place awards in each runner division, and first place awards in each walker division. Awards are presented as soon as possible after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
