East Haddam Sprint and Family Fun Triathlon
The event is the fourth annual East Haddam Sprint and Family Fun Triathlon and takes place on August 8, 2026 at East Haddam Town Beach in Moodus, Connecticut. It offers two distinct race formats held at the same venue: a sprint triathlon using standard sprint distances and a shorter family oriented triathlon.
Distances for the races include:
- Sprint triathlon with standard sprint distances
- Family Fun triathlon: 100 m swim, 5 km bike, 1 mile run
The event includes live music, food trucks, and other family activities on site. Both individual and team entry options are available for the sprint and family fun races. Volunteer opportunities are also part of the event program.
Proceeds support the CMY Scholarship Fund. The fund awards scholarships to two graduating seniors from Nathan Hale Ray High School who demonstrate community stewardship and related personal attributes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
