East Grinstead 10K

The East Grinstead 10K is a community road and trail race held at Imberhorne School in East Grinstead on Sunday 4 October 2026. The event is presented as a memorial run dedicated to a former local sportsman who died from prostate cancer, with all profits supporting the East Grinstead Lions, their prostate cancer screening initiative, and the local charity Being Neighbourly.

The course covers 10 km of mixed terrain. The first 7 km follow well maintained bridleways and scenic paths, with the final 3 km on residential roads. The route is mainly flat, fully marshalled, and includes a water station at 5 km. The race is licenced by and run under the rules of UK Athletics.

Typical entry numbers are 300 to 400 runners, ranging from first time 10 km participants to experienced club athletes. Minimum age is 15 on race day. Services provided at the event include chip timing, a medical service, toilets, parking, on site marshals and finish line catering provided by the local Lions group. A sustainably sourced medal is included in the entry price for all competitors.

The event is organised by local running club volunteers together with neighbouring clubs and partner charities, with proceeds directed to local community causes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
