East Grinstead 10K
The East Grinstead 10K is an annual community road and bridleway race organised by East Grinstead Runners and supported by volunteers from local clubs and partner charities. The 2026 event takes place on 4 October at Imberhorne School in East Grinstead and raises funds for the East Grinstead Lions, their Prostate Cancer Screening initiative, and the local charity Being Neighbourly.
The course covers 10 km of mostly flat, multi terrain: the first 7 km follow well maintained bridleways and the final 3 km run on residential roads. The route is fully marshalled and includes a water station at 5 km. The event is licenced by and run under the rules of UK Athletics.
Typical entry numbers are 300 to 400 runners each year. Minimum age to compete is 15 on race day. Race services provided include chip timing, a medical service, toilets, parking, on site motivation and finish line catering by the East Grinstead Lions. A sustainably sourced medal is included in the entry price for all competitors.
The event is dedicated to the memory of a former England rugby international who died from prostate cancer in 2010 and is presented as a community fundraising occasion supported by local volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
