Event Overview
The East Farms Spring Ahead is an annual community event held in Farmington, Connecticut. Established eleven years ago, this gathering serves as the primary fundraiser for the East Farms Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The funds generated from the event are used to support school curriculum enhancements, including educational field trips, cultural assemblies, and social activities such as the Night of Arts and Culture and YARC Day. Additionally, the proceeds contribute to the Wolf Fund, which assists families within the school community.
Distances and Participation
Participants can choose between two different distances:
- 5k
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The 1 Mile Fun Run is a non-timed event. Both the 5k and the 1 Mile options are open to individuals who wish to run or walk the course. The event focuses on health and wellness, providing an opportunity for families to engage in outdoor physical activity.
Location and Amenities
The race takes place at 25 Wolf Pit Road. Following the conclusion of the events, participants are provided with snacks and bottled water supplied by local sponsors.
