East Coast 10k - Great Yarmouth
The East Coast 10k is a 10 km road race held on Great Yarmouth Promenade. The route is completely flat, traffic free and described as having personal-best potential. The course has a different start, finish and route to the 5 mile races.
Race headquarters is at the Marina Centre leisure centre on Marine Parade (NR30 2ER). The start and finish area is at Anchor Gardens, about a two minute walk from race HQ.
Toilet facilities will be available and nearby council-owned toilet blocks will be open. There is no formal bag drop; the leisure centre provides lockers. Race information before the event will include updates on car parks, toilets and locker fees.
As the event takes place in November there are no on-street parking charges and there are ample car parks along the seafront. Although traffic free, the route crosses car parks and uses the Landau used by cyclists and pedestrians, so headphones are not permitted to ensure participants can hear marshals and other users.
Entry options and fees are listed as: Affiliated £18; Affiliated no medal £17; Unaffiliated £20; Unaffiliated no medal £19. All finishers receive a medal and race memento. Awards are presented on the day for race winners, age categories and teams. Minimum age is 15. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred; transfers to another participant are allowed until midnight on 24/10/2026.
The event includes a foodbank collection point; last year 600 items were handed over. One pound from every entry is donated to Heart 2 Heart to support public defibrillators and community CPR training. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
