East Cheshire Junior & Sprint Aquathlon
The event is a swim and run aquathlon held at The King’s School, Alderley Road, Prestbury, Cheshire. The swim takes place in the school indoor pool, which is 25 metres long with six lanes. The run is on the school playing fields and the course is traffic free. Chip timing and finish line photos were added for 2025. A McA Series medal is included and a small packet of sweets and a bottle of water is provided after racing.
Age categories start at eight years and run through junior groups to a sprint category for age fifteen and over. Waves are limited by pool lane capacity with a maximum of four swimmers per lane and swimmers start in short intervals. A qualified lifeguard and race staff are present on poolside. Overtaking in the swim is allowed only at the end of a length and should follow the tap and wait procedure.
Transition is located just outside the poolside. Showers and changing rooms are available. Spectators may watch from designated areas but poolside and transition access for spectators is restricted. There is ample onsite parking via School Lane. Results and finish line images are posted online after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
