Event details
The East Cheshire Junior & Sprint Aquathlon is a swim-and-run event held at the King's School site on Alderley Road, Prestbury, Cheshire (Macclesfield area). The swim takes place in the indoor 25 m pool with six lanes and a maximum of four swimmers per lane. The run is off-road on the school playing fields and is traffic free. The event uses chip timing and offers finish-line photography. Results are posted online and emailed within five days. Transition is located just outside the poolside; participants place running shoes and a towel there and then move to the field for the run. Spectators are not allowed on poolside and are not permitted in transition. Onsite car parking is available via School Lane. Bins are provided and participants are asked to clear rubbish before leaving. Registration opens on the day for each wave and there is a pre-race briefing on poolside before each race. - TriStar 1 (ages 9-10): swim 100 m, run 1,500 m
- TriStar 2 (ages 11-12): swim 150 m, run 2,000 m

- Sprint / Super Sprint (15+): swim 400 m, run 2,880 m
