2026 Earth Day 5k & 10k - Ben Brenman Park
The event offers two distance options on a paved, fairly flat course around Ben Brenman Park in Alexandria. The route provides views of the pond and Cameron Run. The 10k is an out-and-back run completed twice. Restrooms are available onsite.

Water stations are placed at approximately mile markers 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65 on the 10k route. The 5k has a water station near mile 1.55. Gatorade is available at some water stations. The event is chip timed and includes a finisher’s medal and themed socks for participants. Race shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before April 8; extras may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis.
Results and scoring are provided live and post-race; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the event. Points from this race count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Spring Series. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second in specified age groups; overall top-three finishers are not eligible for age-group prizes.
A virtual race option is available. Packet pickup is offered at the event and race day registration is available, with t-shirt sizes not guaranteed for day-of registrants.
