Event Overview
The Eagle by the Bay - Emmett's Future 2026 is a running and walking event taking place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Essexville, Michigan.
Location and Course
The event starts and finishes at the Finn Road Campground and Boat Launch, located at 2300 N. Finn Road. The course is a scenic run on a well-groomed trail through the woods near the shoreline of Saginaw Bay.
Event Details
The main event begins at 11:00 A.M. A free, non-competitive Kids Race called Emmett's Eaglet Race, a 1/4 mile run, is scheduled for 12:00 P.M. No registration is needed for the kids race. Registration and packet pick-up on race day is available from 9:30 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at the Finn Road Park Pavilion.
The registration cost is $30. All registered runners and walkers receive a t-shirt and a medal. The event benefits PPMD (Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy).
Facilities and Awards
Water stations are provided at turnaround points on Knight Road and Jones Road. Basic medical aid is available at these stations. In addition to medals for all participants, trophies are awarded to the top three men and top three women in each event. Results will be posted online and can be viewed by age groups and sex.
