Event overview
The Fourth Annual DVUSD 5k & 1-Mile Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Phoenix, AZ at Sandra Day O’Connor High School. The event is open to DVUSD employees, students, friends, family members, and community members. DVUSD employees receive 5,000 WellStyles points for participating.

Registration, schedule and race details
Entry for each event is listed at $10. Registration closes on January 24, 2026. Participants who register by Friday, January 12 will receive a t-shirt; 5K participants who register by that date will receive both a t-shirt and a timing bib. 5K bibs and t-shirts must be picked up at the Health Fair at the District Office on January 23.
Only 5K participants will be officially timed and eligible for awards; 1-Mile Walk participants will not be timed. Medals will be presented to the first, second and third place male and female finishers in these age divisions: 13 and under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+.
Two additional short events take place before the main race: a Blow-Up Costume Dash on the track and a Kids Dash for children aged 10 and under. The Kids Dash is organized into age groups (9-10, 7-8, 5-6, 3-4, 1-2) and runs as a brief sprint for all participants. The event schedule includes check-in, opening announcements, national anthem and presentation of colors, the two short dashes, a warm-up, the 5K and 1-Mile starts, and awards and closing after the 5K results are finalized.
