DV8K Life Changing Run
The DV8K Life Changing Run is a community fundraising event at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, Kentucky on August 15, 2026. The event offers multiple distance options and a virtual participation choice; proceeds support a vocational training foundation's employee success program.
Distances include:
- 8K double loop course, chip timed, runners only, 15 minute per mile pace limit
- 4K run or walk, chip timed, walkers and strollers welcomed
- Kids' 1/4 Mile Dash untimed run for children
- Virtual 4K or 8K option with mailed race packet (bib, shirt, coupon)
The 8K awards Top 3 men and women overall and age group awards in five year divisions, three deep. The 4K awards Top 3 men and women overall. The 8K age group divisions range from 0-14 up to 70 and older.
Event production includes chip timing by an external timing company, commemorative race shirts while supplies last, post-race food from the hosting kitchen, free race photos, and on-course vendors. Packet pickup is available in advance at the kitchen's East End location and on race day at Keeneland. A team pricing option applies when five or more people register together, with a per-person saving for team members beyond the fourth registrant.
