DV8K Life Changing Run : August 15, 2026, Keeneland Racecourse
The DV8K Life Changing Run is a fund‑raising running event held at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, Kentucky. The event supports the DV8 Kitchen Vocational Training Foundation's Employee Success Program and its mission to employ and empower people in early stages of addiction recovery.
The event offers multiple ways to participate:
- 8K: chip timed 4.97 mile double loop; runners only; 15 minute per mile pace limit.
- 4K: chip timed 2.5 mile run/walk; walkers and strollers welcome; Top 3 M/F awards.
- Kids' 1/4 Mile Dash: untimed run/walk; participants receive a shirt and medal.
- Virtual: packet mailed (bib, shirt, DV8 coupon); run a 4K or 8K remotely.
Races are produced and chip timed by RaceRise. The 8K includes overall and age group awards in five year divisions (three deep); the 4K includes overall Top 3 male and female awards. Additional event features include commemorative race shirts while supplies last, post-race food from DV8 Kitchen, and free race photos. Packet pickup is available before the event and on race day.
Volunteer roles are available with race day shifts of about 3.5 hours. Teams of five or more can register together; team pricing provides a $3 discount beginning with the fifth team member, with refunds issued to earlier registrants when that threshold is reached.
