Duxford Dash at IWM Duxford
Duxford Dash takes place at IWM Duxford in Duxford, Cambridgeshire on 25 October 2026. The event is organised by the Imperial War Museums and the 2026 edition is reported as sold out, with a waiting list maintained.
Races are held on a live airfield runway that is closed to air traffic for the event. Distances offered include:
- 5k One lap of the runway
- 10k Two laps of the runway
- 1 mile Family Dash A one mile family run
The event provides facilities and options for a range of participants. Wheelchair athletes are noted as able to compete and the course includes a slight hidden incline. Buggy runners may join the 5k and 10k races. Spectator tickets are available separately.
Finishers receive themed race merchandise. The 2026 finisher medal features a silver Spitfire and running figures with a yellow and black lanyard, and a black event T-shirt includes a Spitfire visual and running figures. Little Dashers in the 1 mile family run receive a sew-on finisher patch. As a charity event, entries and merchandise purchases help support IWM's work.
