Dutchess County Classic : September 19 and 20, 2026
The 48th Annual Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club Dutchess County Classic is a two day running event held in Dutchess County, New York. Races are split between Robinson Lane Park in Wappingers Falls and Dutchess Community College with sections on the William R. Steinhaus Dutchess Rail Trail and the Walkway Over the Hudson in Poughkeepsie.
Distances included:
- Half Marathon: 13.1 Miles
- 10k: 10K
- 5k: 5K
- Kids 1k Fun Run: 1 Mile
- Half Marathon (Wheelchair)
- Combo entries combining 5k and 10k or 5k and half marathon
All courses are flat and scenic and are USATF certified. The half marathon and 10k use the Hudson Valley Rail Trail and include an out and back segment over the Walkway Over the Hudson. The 5k is an out and back T shape course that starts and finishes at a pavilion at Robinson Lane Park.
Event details note shirts for runners who preregister by August 23 and finisher medals for the Kids 1k, 5k, 10k and half marathon. Cash prizes are offered for top overall and masters finishers in the 5k and half marathon. Runners must maintain a pace of at least 15 minutes per mile in all events except the Kids 1k. No walkers are allowed in the half marathon. Strollers are prohibited in the 5k, 10k and half marathon and permitted in the Kids 1k. Registrants may enter only one race per day. Prices increase after the first 350 registrants and on July 1 and September 14. No refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
