About the race

The Dursley Dozen is a 12-mile trail running race around Dursley that uses woodland, open country and quiet country roads. The route includes substantial climbing of just over 2,000 feet and a mix of muddy, stony and root-filled paths as well as short paved sections.

The course climbs Hill Road onto Stinchcombe Hill Golf Course, passes Drakestone Point and runs around Breakheart Quarry. It uses part of the Leaf and Ground venue where spectators can watch runners descend to the pond and climb back into the woods. Ropes are provided at a steep precipice before runners emerge at Drakestone Point. The final approach returns through woodland and down into the town, finishing on Parsonage Street outside Dursley Market Hall, where finishers receive a technical T-shirt and items from race sponsors.

The 2026 event was the 36th edition and took place on Sunday, February 15, 2026. The organisers thanked marshals, volunteers, supporters, runners and families for their help. Results and race photography from 2026 are available via the race result and photographer channels. Organisers state that event information will be updated ahead of the 2027 edition and that entries for 2027 will open in the summer of 2026.
