Dunfermline City Auld Toun 10K
The Dunfermline City Auld Toun 10K is a community-focused running event organized by the Dunfermline City Running Festival (DCRF) community group. The race features a versatile route that takes participants through several significant local landmarks, including Pittencrieff Park, the scenic Heritage Quarter, and Dunfermline Public Park. The course officially begins in Pittencrieff Park near the Glen Pavilion and concludes at the archway beside Dunfermline Abbey at St. Catherine’s Wynd.
The event consists of a single distance:
- 10 km
Participants must be aged 16 or over on the day of the event. The race is chip-timed by a timing partner to ensure accurate results for all runners. For safety reasons, the use of headphones is restricted to bone-conducting models only. The course is marked at kilometer intervals, and a water station is located mid-race at the Viewfield Terrace Car Park.
The event is limited to 500 participants, and no entries are accepted on the day of the race. Registration takes place at the Glen Pavilion, where runners receive their bib numbers. While kit storage is available at the registration area, it is used at the participant's own risk. All finishers receive a medal and a bag of refreshments. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers, as well as winners in age categories ranging from V40 to V70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
