Emerson's Dunedin Marathon : 13 September 2026
The 46th Emerson's Dunedin Marathon is organised by the Caversham Harrier and Athletic Club in Dunedin, New Zealand. Events centre on Emerson's Brewery on Anzac Avenue where most courses start or finish overlooking the brewery. All events finish by going down the Ward St ramp after crossing the railway bridge overlooking Emerson's.
The full marathon starts at the Portobello Recreation Reserve, follows the Otago Peninsula northeast, turns around between Penguin Place and Te Rauone Reserve, then returns to the city to finish outside Emerson's. Other courses start at locations close to the finish area.

Entry fees vary by event and are arranged in early bird, standard, and late pricing periods. Race packs and merchandise must be collected before proceeding to the start; specific collection dates and times are provided by the event organisers.
An accompanying event, the ASB George Street Mile, takes place on Saturday 12 September and includes mile races such as the Kids Mile, Social Mile, University Mile, and the NZ Mile Championships. Championship races are open to registered members of Athletics New Zealand affiliated clubs in the Under 20, Senior, and Masters grades. The Kids, Social, and University miles are described as open to all runners, joggers, walkers, and legends. The University Mile requires a student ID at bib pickup.
