CtC 100 Miler
CtC 100 Miler is a multi-lap trail race covering 100 miles, listed as 161 km in total. The format requires completion of 19 laps within a 36 hour time window. The full course accumulates 10,830 m of ascent and 10,830 m of descent.
Entry is by koha with all proceeds donated to the Valley Project. Finishers may purchase a commemorative buckle for NZ$10. The event base at Bethunes offers space to camp, toilets, and tap water when available. Organizers provide a BBQ for participant use and a Saturday dinner offered for a donation.
The race is run as repeated laps on a defined course, and it includes extended sections that occur during night hours. The format therefore involves prolonged running, overnight navigation on the loop, and repeated ascents and descents. Facilities at the base are basic rather than full service; participants should plan for self support between laps.
The description and logistics emphasise a high total distance and major cumulative elevation, a looped race structure, simple on-site amenities, and a community donation entry model with funds going to a local project. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
