Event overview

The Dunblane Road Races take place in Dunblane on 31 May 2026. The event is organised by Dunblane Runners and proceeds go to local charities. Two races are held on the day: a 12 km adult road race and a 2 km youth race for ages 9 to 15. Race numbers are issued from the Dunblane Centre on race day.

Courses and logistics

The adult course is a measured 12 km route that starts and finishes on Dunblane High Street. It runs north along Perth Road through Kinbuck, crosses the River Allan at Cromlix Bridge (about 3 miles), follows Auchenlay Road back towards Dunblane and returns via Doune Road, Springfield Terrace and Sunnyside, finishing near the Gold Post Box. The route is mostly on country roads, generally flat with some undulation and a short hill around 4 miles. Roads remain open to traffic; the course is heavily marshalled, has a water station near the halfway point and first aid cover.

The youth route is approximately 2 km, mostly off road, routing around the Allan Water, over Faery Bridge into Memorial Park and finishing near the Gold Post Box. The youth event uses age categories U11, U13 and U15.

The adult race is chip timed with disposable UHF tags integrated into race numbers. Results and photos are posted after the event. Parking, toilet and shower facilities are available at the Dunblane Centre. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
