Duke Time for Time 5K Color Run
The Duke Time for Time 5K Color Run is a community athletic event held at the Duke East Campus Lawn in Durham, North Carolina. This event marks the third year of the untimed 5 km run and walk, where participants are sprayed with vibrant color powder along the route. The event is organized to support Preston’s League, a nonprofit organization that assists children with critical illnesses and their families within the Duke Pediatric Transplant and Cellular Therapy unit.
The event offers several participation categories:
- 5 km distance for student runners
- 5 km distance for adult runners
- 5 km distance for children aged 10 and under
- Color thrower registration for those who wish to distribute powder
The course is located on the Duke East Campus and is open to runners and walkers. Participants who register after February 15 are advised to wear a white shirt, as t-shirts are not guaranteed for late sign-ups. Duke University students have the option to use food points for registration by donating to the Feed Every Devil program and completing a separate registration form. Local businesses also participate by setting up tables to share products and services with the community during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
