Dudley Pond 5k
The Dudley Pond event in Wayland, MA includes a 3.5 mile runner loop, organized walking options, and short kids courses. Activities take place at Mansion Beach and follow routes along the shoreline of Dudley Pond.
Distances and options:
- Kids courses: 25 yards to about a quarter mile
- Main running loop: 3.5 mile scenic route
- Competitive walking option: turn around at the 1.0 mile mark
The running course follows the pond shoreline for the first part, with small rolling hills. At a little past the one mile mark the route turns away from the pond and climbs uphill toward the halfway point. The route then loops back toward Mansion Beach and finishes on a fast downhill or flat section. Fitness walkers participate in trainer-led exercises and walk or run along the pond shoreline.
Results are posted automatically on race day when participants connect a Twitter account for result sharing. Course maps and event schedule are provided by the organizers for reference. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
