Drug Free Run
The Drug Free Run in La Grande is scheduled for September 19, 2026. The Union County Safe Communities Coalition has hosted this event since 2012 to support local community partners and to prevent youth substance abuse for a safer, healthier, and drug free community.
The event offers multiple route options:
- One Mile Fun Run/Walk scavenger hunt
- 5K timed run
The run is family friendly and open to people of all ages and experience levels. Race materials include mapped routes for both the scavenger hunt one mile and the timed 5K.
Funds raised support youth drug prevention efforts in Union County. This includes supporting the UCSCC Youth Council prevention activities in local schools and communities, supporting events that aim to increase community awareness about youth substance use and prevention, and supporting community projects selected by the UCSCC.
