Drone Valley Trail Half Marathon
The Drone Valley Trail Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile trail race starting and finishing at Drone Valley Brewery in Unstone, Derbyshire. The route passes through forests, fields, bridleways and minor roads and includes approximately 1,700 feet of elevation. The course mixes runnable sections with some climbs and contains several busy road crossings; the most hazardous crossings will be marshalled. The route is self-navigated and largely unsupported, with one aid station located halfway and light refreshments provided there. Runners receive a GPX file and a written set of race instructions; the final versions were issued on 30 September 2026 and reflect route changes from previous years.
Event organisation follows UK Athletics rules. Entry is open to adults aged 18 and over. Early bird and standard entry fees apply, with affiliated runners receiving a discount. A high-quality finisher's medal and a voucher for a free pint or non-alcoholic option are included and must be redeemed on race day at the brewery. First aid cover is provided at the start/finish area, the halfway aid station and at points on the course. No parking is available at the brewery; parking is available in a layby a few hundred metres up the road. Mandatory safety kit includes at least 1 litre water capacity, a waterproof jacket, warm layers, an emergency blanket, a whistle, emergency snacks and a charged mobile phone.
