Dresden Melon Festival 10K and 5k
The Dresden Melon Festival presents timed and non-timed running options at the Village of Dresden River Park boat ramp, located just below Tri-Valley High School in Dresden, Ohio. The event uses paved, out-and-back routes that follow the Dresden bike trail, the Muskingum River, and village streets. A traditional 100 yard grass finish under the tree canopy along the riverbank is retained.
Distances offered:
- 10K (6.2 miles) timed race.
- 5k (3.1 miles) timed race.
- 5k Fun (3.1 miles) non-timed event.
- Kids 100 meter dash, free; t-shirt not included.
Awards for the timed 10K and 5k races will be issued to the top three overall male and female finishers and in age categories 12-under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Walkers are welcome.
Registration opens June 6, 2026 and closes July 26, 2026. Entry fee is $25 through July 26 and $30 for late entry from July 27 to race day. Race packets include a custom softstyle t-shirt with the official race logo, a race bib, and sponsor items; t-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by July 22. Water and refreshments will be available at the finish.
Automatic text and email results are sent to participants who opt in. Instant results will also be available at on-site kiosks and on the race website. If an in-person race cannot be held for any reason, registrations will be converted to a non-refundable virtual event rather than rescheduled.
