Dragon Run for Courage 5K and the "14" Challenge
Dragon Run for Courage is a community fundraising event in Royersford, Pennsylvania, featuring multiple race options and a monthlong virtual challenge. The event benefits local foundations supporting pediatric cancer; funds will provide a scholarship in one foundation's name and support local pediatric cancer families through gift cards and research funding in memory of a young person.
The in-person portion is based at the Spring-Ford 9th Grade Center, 400 S. Lewis Road, Royersford. The race begins in the rear parking lot of the 9th Grade Center on Green Street. The course follows a slightly changed route this year through the streets of Royersford.
Distances and formats include:
- 5K chip timed road race
- 1 Mile untimed walk/run
- 5K virtual race with submitted times scored
The "14" Challenge is a virtual September activity. Participants may commit to running 14 miles in September, walking 14 minutes each day, or doing 14 pushups each day. The challenge runs from September 1 to September 30. Special bundle pricing is offered for participation in both the Dragon Run and the "14" Challenge.
