About the race
The event is the third annual memorial run and walk held on November 7, 2026, at 7100 Graphics Way in Lewis Center, Ohio. It honors the legacy of a long-serving Medical Director of the Mount Carmel Street Medicine program.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk in person
- 1 Mile Walk/Run in person
- 5K Virtual option
Registration opens April 1, 2026; registration deadlines vary by event and conclude in early November 2026. The posted registration fee is $35.00 for each event listed.
Proceeds will support the Mount Carmel Street Medicine program, which provides no-cost medical care to uninsured or underinsured individuals. The program operates a mobile medical coach at nine locations across central Ohio and provides urgent care for acute illness, infections, wounds, and unmanaged chronic disorders. Teams also offer help with social needs such as food resources, specialty appointments, and connection to primary care. The program operates three days a week, has been in operation for forty years, and logs over 4,000 patient encounters annually.
On the day of the event the Street Medicine team will collect clothing donations. Needed items include hoodies, athletic pants, and tennis shoes in good condition for men and women.
