About the race
Downtown Melbourne 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for March 20, 2027 at Front Street Park in Melbourne, Florida. The event offers a 5K run/walk and directs proceeds to THE HAVEN FOR CHILDREN, a residential and therapeutic home for children removed from their families due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
Registration opens on 9/18/2026, with pre registration closing on 2/28/2027. Early packet pickup and registration are available Friday, March 19 at Running Zone, 3696 N Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32935. Race day packet pickup and race day registration are available at Front Street Park. Fee levels are listed as Adult $35 through 3/1 and $40 from 3/2 to race day; Child (12 and under) $30 through 3/1 and $35 from 3/2 to race day.
Individual awards are given by overall and age categories. Awards include Top 3 overall male and female, Top Masters 40 plus male and female, Top Grandmasters 50 plus male and female, Top Senior Grandmasters 60 plus male and female, and Top 3 male and female in each age group. Age groups are 8 & under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, and 85 plus.
