Downs Park 5 Miler
The Downs Park 5 Miler is an approximately 5-mile loop run on paved trails within John H. Downs Memorial Park in Pasadena, Maryland. The course starts and ends at the Fernwood Pavilion and runs through wooded sections with views of the Chesapeake Bay. The course is not certified.
The event is scheduled for November 7, 2026, and serves as the seventh leg of the Annapolis Striders Championship Series. Runners who have registered for the full Championship short race bundle do not need to register separately for this race.
Bib pickup is available on race morning and participants may leave gear in the pavilion. Parking will be directed by volunteers. Baby joggers and strollers are prohibited. There are no transfers or refunds.
Runners are expected to maintain a minimum pace of 15 minutes per mile. Water is provided at the halfway point, approximately mile 2.5. Awards are presented to top overall and masters finishers; age group awards are given at the discretion of the race director based on the number of finishers in each age group.
Online registration carries a standard fee of $15 with a discounted $10 fee for Annapolis Strider members. Race day registration carries a different fee; payment options include cash, check, or credit card. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
