Down By The River 10k & 3k
The Down By The River Races consist of a 10k and a 3k distance.
The event will take place on Sunday, 14th June 2026. The race headquarters is Cambuslang Rugby and Sports Club on Langlea Road in Cambuslang.
The 10k course runs along the Clyde Walkway towards Glasgow and back. The route is described as fast and flat, which may be suitable for runners looking to set a personal best. It is noted that the walkway is fairly narrow in places and remains open to the public, so participants should be aware of walkers and cyclists. The race start and finish is on nearby Cambuslang Road at the junction of Clydesmill Drive.
There is no parking near the start/finish area. Competitors are directed to park at the rugby and sports club and then walk or jog to the course. An alternative parking location is Clydesmill Drive in the industrial estate.
Cash prizes are awarded for the top finishers in both distances, with additional prizes for age categories and teams. Spot prizes and goodie bags are also provided. A bonus is offered for beating the course records. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
