Doughnut Day 5K
The Doughnut Day 5K is an annual community event held in Lake Mary, Florida, organized by the Rotary Club of Seminole County Sunset. The event serves as a fundraiser, with all proceeds supporting local high school students through a scholarship fund. The course is located at 1061 S Sun Drive and welcomes participants to run, walk, or roll.
The event features several participation options:
- Doughnut Day 5k
- Doughnut Day 5k - VIRTUAL RACE
- ‘The Sugar Rush’ Kids Race (For children ages 10 and under)
The 5 km course is chip-timed, with disposable timing chips attached to each participant's race bib. The event is designed to be accessible to various types of participants, including those using strollers or accompanied by dogs.
Registered participants in the 5 km event receive an event T-shirt and a plush doughnut finisher medal, available in six different styles. At the conclusion of the race, doughnuts, coffee, and other refreshments are provided to participants. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers.
Packet pick-up is held at Front Running Sports on the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday preceding the event, as well as on the morning of the race at the site. In the event of a cancellation, the race transitions to a virtual format, where participants can still collect their medals and shirts at the designated pick-up location.
