Doug Anderson 5k : Bedford Park, 22 July 2026

Bedford Harriers AC accepts entries for the Doug Anderson 5k held in the grounds of Bedford Park on Wednesday 22nd July 2026. The course is a measured two and a half lap route on wide asphalt paths that pass redwoods, a lake, a bandstand and a vintage cafe.

The race is limited to 450 entrants. The minimum age of competitors is 13 years on the day. All finishers receive a Doug Anderson 5K medal as a race memento. The event incorporates the Bedfordshire AAA 5K County Championship.

Facilities listed for the event include toilets, medical provision, a water station, AG & Team Awards and chip timing from start to finish. Bedford Harriers marshals provide on-course support and encouragement.

The organiser operates a strict NO head/earphones/open ear/bone conducting head/earphones or similar equipment policy; any runner found to be wearing anything other than a medical or prescription device to aid hearing will be disqualified. A £3 surcharge will be incurred for any entries made on the day.
