Doug Anderson 5k
The Doug Anderson 5k is a road running event organized by Bedford Harriers AC. The race takes place within the grounds of Bedford Park, utilizing a course consisting of two and a half laps. Participants run on wide asphalt paths that pass several landmarks, including a lake, a bandstand, a vintage cafe, and redwood trees.

Registration is limited to 450 participants, and the minimum age for entry is 13 years old. The event uses chip timing to provide results from the start line to the finish line.
Facilities available on-site include toilets, medical provision, and a water station. Marshals are positioned throughout the course to provide support. Category and team awards are presented based on the results. All finishers receive a race medal as a memento.
The organizers enforce a strict policy regarding audio equipment. No headphones, earphones, or bone-conducting devices are permitted during the race. Participants using such equipment will be disqualified, with exceptions only for medical or prescription hearing aids.
