Olympic Venue Triathlon
The Dorney Triathlon takes place at Dorney Lake in Windsor, a venue previously used for the Olympic Games. This event features a flat course situated within scenic grounds, designed for participants who prefer racing away from open roads. The swim section is held in clear water, and the entire event is chip timed. This competition is designated as draft illegal.
Participants can choose from several distances and formats:
- Super Sprint: 400m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run
- Sprint: 750m swim, 19km bike, 5km run
- Standard: 1500m swim, 38km bike, 10km run
- Aquabike: Swim and bike disciplines only, available in Sprint and Standard distances
- Relay: Teams of 2 or 3 members sharing the disciplines, available for Sprint and Standard distances
To participate, individuals must hold a race licence through a British Triathlon membership or by purchasing a single use Race Pass during registration. Free parking is available at the venue. The site also provides options for wetsuit hire ranging from single-day to full-season durations. Helpers are stationed throughout the venue to provide guidance during the event.
