Dorney Lake Triathlon
The Dorney Lake Triathlon takes place at a purpose-built Olympic venue in Windsor. The event features a swim in the lake followed by a bike and run course on flat grounds. The terrain is entirely road-based, providing a level surface for all participants. The event is held in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Participants can choose from several triathlon distances or alternative multisport formats:
- Super Sprint: 400m swim, 9.5km bike (2 laps), and 2.5km run.
- Sprint: 750m swim, 19km bike (4 laps), and 5km run.
- Standard: 1500m swim, 38km bike (8 laps), and 10km run.
- Aquabike: A swim-bike option for those who prefer not to include the run.
- Relay: Available for teams of 2 or 3 individuals to share the disciplines.
The course is chip-timed, and each discipline is marked with distance flags. Marshals are positioned throughout the venue to provide guidance. Participants have access to an event village containing various food and drink options. Every finisher receives a themed medal, post-race goodies, and access to free digital race photos. All categories, including Open and Female divisions, are accommodated across the different distances and formats. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
