Dorney Duathlon - December
The event offers three race distances around Dorney Lake. Distances available include:
- Super Sprint distance duathlon
- Sprint distance duathlon
- Standard distance duathlon
The course is on flat, scenic grounds at Dorney Lake. The bike and run sections are described as totally flat and the event is draft illegal. The organiser notes the venue can suit athletes seeking fast, chip timed results and those who prefer not to race on open roads.
The run course will be clearly marked with distance flags. Helpers will be stationed on both the run and bike courses to direct and support competitors. The layout uses multi laps, which creates multiple viewing points for spectators.
Spectator facilities include a balcony cafe overlooking the transition area. Practical information provided for the event lists free parking at the venue.
Entry requires membership of British Triathlon and a race licence. Competitors must hold either a Core or Ultimate annual membership or purchase a single use Race Pass when buying their event ticket. Ticket prices for available categories range from GBP 45.00 to GBP 85.00.
