Donut Hole Mile
The Donut Hole Mile is a novelty one mile running event held as part of a 4th of July celebration in Arvada, Colorado. The event follows the Beer Mile concept with runners consuming donut holes between each quarter mile. Competitors eat 1 donut hole before the first quarter mile, 2 before the second, 3 before the third, and 4 before the final leg, for a total of 10 donut holes. Each runner consumes five glazed and five chocolate donut holes.
The course uses quarter mile out and back loops along Ralston Creek Trail, alternating directions and starting eastbound from the Colorado Tap House at 14982 W 69th Ave. The event is not held on a track. Awards are given to the top male individual finisher, the top female individual finisher, and the top team finisher; these earn placement on the Tap House Wall of Champions plaque.
Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes July 4, 2026. The listed registration fee is $6.00. Due to congestion in the transition area, strollers and dogs are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
