About the race
The Donut Dash is a timed 5K+ run/walk held in historic downtown Saint Joseph on October 31, 2026. The listed distance is 3.82 miles and the route passes Mount Mora Cemetery, Patee House Museum and Robidoux Row. Along the course are designated watering stations where participants may stop for drinks and donut holes provided by Gold-N-Glaze Donut & Coffee Shop. The finish location is at Gold-N-Glaze Donut & Coffee Shop; a shuttle returns participants to the start at Patee House Museum, 1202 Penn Street.
Proceeds from the event support Mount Mora Cemetery, Patee House Museum and Robidoux Row. The event is timed and all participants receive a finisher medal. Strollers and pets are allowed; runners with strollers start behind other runners. Motorized vehicles, roller blades and bikes are not allowed on the course. Intersection protection is provided by volunteers or the St. Joseph Police Department. The event proceeds rain or shine and no refunds are given.
Registration details note a t-shirt is included with pre-registration and is not guaranteed after October 16, 2026. Pre-registration fee for the 5K+ is listed as $35 to secure a t-shirt, children 12 and under $15, and late registration $45; sizes 2XL and 3XL may have additional fees. Packet pickup is available Friday, October 30, 2026 at Farmers State Bank, 2211 North Belt Highway, St. Joseph, MO, and also the morning of the run at the start line.
