Show Me Your Free State Marathon and Ultra
The Show Me Your Free State Marathon and Ultra is a multi-distance running event presented by Benton High School in St. Joseph, Missouri, scheduled for October 24-25, 2026. The event offers multiple race distances and supporting race materials.

- 26.2 miles (marathon)
- 13.1 miles (half marathon)
The course starts and finishes in Missouri while the majority of the route is located in Kansas. A 25-mile loop portion follows the Missouri River valley and crosses a historic section of terrain that the river left west of its channel after the 1951 flood. The route passes near Rosecrans Memorial Airport and uses riverbank trails and nearby parkway segments.
Proceeds from the event benefit Benton High School Cross Country and Track & Field programs. The event provides downloadable training plans for several distances and a runners' handbook.
