Event Overview
The Donut Dash Ate-teen is a charity running event held in Sacramento's Land Park. Now in its 18th year, the event combines a 4 mile course with a unique refreshment stop. Proceeds from the race support Child Life Programs at local children's hospitals, including the Sutter Children's Center and UC Davis Children's Hospital.
Course and Format
Participants start in Land Park and travel 2 miles to Marie's Donuts. Upon arrival, depending on their registered category, participants may consume donuts or donut holes before completing the final 2 miles back to the finish line. The course is open to runners, joggers, and walkers.
Registration Categories
Participants can choose from several entry levels based on their appetite and competitive interest:
- Competitive 4 donuts: Participants must be at least 16 years old and consume 4 donuts.
- Non-competitive Adult: Options to consume 3 donuts, 6 donut holes, or nothing at all.
- Youth (17 & under): Options for 6 donut holes or no food consumption.
The event includes a special "Glazing Fast Challenge" for those in the competitive category who complete the full 4 miles and 4 donuts in under 50 minutes. Children 12 and under may participate for free, though registration is required to receive a t-shirt and finisher award. All registered participants receive a t-shirt and a finisher's award.
