Run for Breast Cancer Sacramento
The Run for Breast Cancer takes place at Sutter's Landing Regional Park in Sacramento. This event is organized as a small, private group run with a limited number of participants per wave to maintain a low-stress environment. The event is open to all ages and paces, including runners and walkers. Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian.
The event offers several distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 13.1 miles (Half-Marathon)
- 1 mile (Family Fun Run)
Timing for the event is optional. There are no timing chips provided; instead, participants can track their own progress using various mobile apps and submit their results online, or request assistance from on-site coordinators. The run is organized into multiple waves to manage the small group setting. Late arrivals are permitted to start upon their arrival, as coordinators remain on-site for three hours after the initial wave begins.
Registration includes a swag bag containing a running t-shirt, a finisher's medal, and a finisher's towel or other giveaway item. These items are shipped directly to the participant's provided US mailing address, eliminating the need for a physical packet pickup. Race bibs are distributed on the day of the event. A virtual run option is also available for those who cannot attend in person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
