Donut Dash 5K
The Donut Dash 5K is a community running event held at Kit Carson Park, El Arroyo picnic area in Escondido. The main race is a roughly 5 kilometer loop that combines sidewalks, trails, a bike path, park views, and art sculptures. The event includes a finish line festival with a free donut bar supplied by local bakeries and vendors, finisher medals, a custom event tee, games, and refreshments.
The program also features a Donut Mile and a kids dash. The Donut Mile is a one mile race run as four 1/4 mile laps; competitors must eat a regular glazed or cake donut to begin each lap. The Donut Mile is limited to 100 runners, uses four waves of 25, has a separate registration from the 5K, and requires entrants to be at least 13 years old. The kids dash is a 1/4 mile loop near the finish area and includes a kids medal.

Packet pickup is offered before race day at Carlsbad Running Center and others may pick up a participant packet on behalf of a registrant. Official race results will be provided after the event.
