Don't Run Alone 5K Walk & Run
Don't Run Alone 5K takes place on October 10, observed as World Mental Health Awareness Day. The event recognizes men's mental health and suicide prevention and offers both an in-person 3.1 mile course and a virtual 5K option.
The in-person course is set at Providence Catholic’s 25 acre South Campus, located one quarter mile west and one quarter mile south of the school at Gougar Road and Ferro Drive. This campus includes a cross-country running course called the Wilderness Trail. The street address is 1800 West Lincoln Highway, New Lenox, IL 60451.
Two participation options and registration details are provided:
- 5K - 3.1 miles on-site at the Wilderness Trail
- Virtual 5K - 3.1 miles, remote participation
Registration windows and fees are stated for each option. The on-site 5K fee is $35.00 and has its own registration open and close dates. The virtual 5K fee is $40.00 and has a separate registration period. Participants may create fundraising pages to collect donations in support of the event's cause and may run, walk, or stroll while participating, including pushing a small child if desired.
