Don Maynard Memorial 5K
The Don Maynard Memorial 5K takes place in Greenfield, Massachusetts on 09/19/2026 at 1 Nash's Mill Rd. The event offers a 5K run and a 2 mile walk, plus a separate 5K student entry category open to participants from elementary school through college.
Entry fees until race day are $30 for the 5K run, $25 for the 2 mile walk, and $20 for student 5K entries. Registration opens 03/25/2026. Regular registration for most events closes 09/17/2026, while student 5K registration remains open through the event date. Race shirts are provided to the first 50 entrants.
Proceeds support the Don Maynard Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to graduating Franklin County public school seniors. Donations are encouraged. The event is endorsed by the New England 65 Plus Runners Club and will include 5 year age groups starting with 65 to 69. A $5 discount applies for 5K participants age 65 or older.
A supporter donation funds a $50 prize for the fastest teenage male and the fastest teenage female finisher. The 5K course starts on Colrain Road, loops through the Meadows section, returns to the start, turns left onto Nash's Mill Road heading east to the bike path entrance, and finishes on the bike path bridge.
